FS:ford pepperpots and spare 205 1.9 gti alloy

Hi guys, dont know if its any use to anyone but I have a set of pepperpots that came with my car as build wheels (but i never fitted) sat outside my house. They've got some old rubber on too.

I've also got a 1.9 205 gti spare wheel which is no use to me now I trashed my car.

Anyone close want to take them off my hands?

I live in burton upon trent now.

Craig- What happened in the end to the 205? Did you get a full payout? Moved onto something else?

didn't realise you'd binned the 205 - what happened?

Breaking for spares at all?

Long story short that was the result of lift off oversteer in some funky conditions!

McLannahan, I argued the valuation and got another £350 I think (£1550 overall) but had to pay a £700 excess .

I have moved on to another peugeot - a 1980s decrepit road bike and I've plowed the money back into the dax, seriously having driver withdrawal symptoms but cant afford to finish the dax and get a new car!

Gutted -Not a bad payout for such a spanker but then to lose all that excess!

Was it not worth buying at salvage (10%?) and then splitting it into parts?

Not that all policies allow this - your policy may have not allowed this?

All well - At least you've another project and you're carrying on with KC!

Cheers

I heavily considered that option.. right up until the recovery company wanted £350 for the original call out and one nights storage .

Later that day I also received a letter through the post from the hedge owner that I put a divet in too so I ended up having to claim.

ETA - just looking wistfully at pistonheads now, would kill for an older vx220, not that I could insure it!

Ouch

No injuries other than emotional and financial I hope!

Shame about the buy back you could have retrieved a fair bit of cash from a parts sell off.
