For Sale - Discovery TD5 Commercial

Family member has a Land Rover Discovery TD5 Commercial for sale.

02 Plate
98k Miles
6 Months Tax
10 Months Test
3 Owners
5-Door Conversion (From New) By Land Rover Special Vehicles.
Blacked Out Windows from B-Pillar Back.
Rear Air-Suspension Replaced with 110 Heavy Duty Springs.
Tow-bar fitted.

Nice enough vehicle... only mechanical issue I can think of is that the ABS sensor-ring is corroded and needs replaced.

Pics tomorrow.

£4250 + VAT.

When you say the abs ring needs replacing, ..............

Is it showing an ABS fault on the dash or on the OBD?

Its probably the ABS modulator shuttle valve these pack up with annoying monotony.

If it aint that then its more likely going to be just a wheel bearing, Once the bearing has some play in it then it throws out the air gap between the ABS sensor and the ring thus throwing up an ABS fault.

Neither are major expenses, Modulator block is about £100 (secondhand)plus fitting, Wheelbearing, you cant buy it on its own you need to buy the hob with the bearing in it approx £60 second hand + fitting

Good luck with the sale, the used prices have recovered considerably in the last 6-9 months.

Cheers for that.

I've had a look at commercials and the asking price is pretty keen by comparison.
