FS: twin axle trailer
I bought this trailer to take my car to the exhaust fabricator, some testing (not on the public highway), first SVA, dvla inspection. If I had used
this to collect the chassis and the bodywork then I could have saved even more money. It served its purpose well. Now my car is on the road and
working I have no need for it and its just taking up space so am passing it on.
The trailer is 4 wheeled and "home made" by someone. I bought it off here from Tegwin
(link to previous ad) It needed a little bit of welding and this has been done.
The wheels are independently suspended with "indespension" type units, and it towed really well behind my old diesel Audi A4.
Length of bed 144inch
Length of trailer total 192inch
Width of bed 64.5inch
Width of trailer total 82inch
It has 2 hubcaps not 4 (you can have them on either side!), one of the tyres has a slow puncture and needs replacing. Tegwin said it would be easy to
add brakes, but I am not sure how this could be done. I don't know the weight, but my BEC is light and it tows well as it is. The ramps are
bowed, but work fine. It is generally scruffy, but solid. I will throw in a trailer lock if you want it.
£300 (what I paid Tegwin). I know this isn't the place to get big money for stuff, but I like the idea of keeping it in the
"family". Otherwise its e-bay (perhaps with a less frank description!!!)
And one of Tegwins photos.
I'm in Oxford (OX5) but can probably meet you within a 50mile radius for the price of the diesel.

Anyone know the legality of towing unbraked, I don't want another project, but I'm interested in this trailer for my Indy?

up to total weight 750kg unbraked......not that you would want to test the system....
I towed a works trailer that i suspected was not braking properly and it didnt half give us a fright when we attempted to stop quickly....it was
loaded with a ditch witch...

Only if your towing vehicle weighs 1500kg, it's half the weight of your towing vehicle otherwise or the manufacturers recommended figure.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If he doesn't want it in the end, I probably will, subject to brakes being possible to fit...
Thanks

Excellent, I am glad you are pleased with it.
I missed the last 2 minutes of the Wales/Scotland game. Normally that would have been irrelevant, but I ended up missing 2 tries, a sending off and a
penalty!!
