Rover 1.8 K Series with Type 9 box

Testing the water really, not sure what its worth.
1.8 Kseries bought as part of a project. It was taken from low mileage car in good working. I haven't heard it running nor do I have any documentation to prove this but the info came from a reputable source so have no reason to doubt it. Its got a type 9 gearbox bolted to it with a purpose made bellhousing. The engine was going to be supercharged and put in a MKII escort but my friend decided it was too big a project for him and was offered good money for the shell so sold it.
I know the gearbox is worth a minimum of £100 and that the bellhousings cost about £250 new haven't got a clue how much the engine is worth. From memory the engine is just missing something to give it some fuel, carbs / injection etc

Its just sat collecting dust at the moment, Whats it worth?

If you want any more info, pictures etc or you are interested in making an offer give us a shout.

Cheers
Andy

what have you done to the gearbox to make it worth £100+, rebuilt?

I've also not seen any after market bellhousing for more than £175ish, was yours a one off?

I am pretty sure he means it is missing the inlet gubbins so there would be nothing bolted to the head on the inlet side

BTW - Caterham charge £276 for a bellhousing alone
