FS: Prop shaft (shortened) for Type 9 gearbox

Modified by MK to suit a Pinto Indy but likely to suit many other installations.

Overall length - 785 mm
Diff flange to gearbox tail with splines fully inserted - 680 mm

Allowing for appropriate clearance, this is suitable for a gearbox tail - diff separation of about 705-730mm.

£35, collection from Bristol preferred if possible but happy send at cost (Paypal).

Yep, Sierra diff (which also means English axle etc I think, but I was using it with Sierra running gear).

Cautionary note...

Sorry to butt in, guys but I was sold a similar one by a guy on here who said he 'thought' it was 'english axle and he 'thought' it would fit a sierra diff.

We exchanged measurements, and I bought it.

It didn't fit the diff - it was about 10mm smaller. I still have it - will be going in my 'post build garage clearout' eventually!

Fair enough, but as I had it fitted to Sierra running gear I think it's safe to say it fits! Forget the comment about English axle...

Hi Matt,
as promised, i,ve measured my prop distance but sadly your prop won,t fit my car ,
the distance between the gearbox oil seal to my rear diff flange is only 630mm.

thanks anyway.

cheers
