Virtually Complete Megasquirt FI Kit for Pinto

DIY Fuel Injection System
Due to the recent sale of my beloved Westfield I have a nearly complete kit to convert a Ford Pinto (although could be used for other cars) to fuel injection and electronic ignition.
The System is controlled by the MEGASQUIRT ECU and uses the Ford EDIS module which is included.
To assist there are many resources on the web and I have also printed some of the install manuals which are included in the sale.
Here we go the sale includes
• MEGASQUIRT ECU V2.2 (professionally built by Bill Shurvington)
• MEGASQUIRT Relay board to assist with the wiring (Again built by Bill Shurvington) Needs to be assembled to suit the application.
• GSXR 750 Throttle Bodies adapted to fit the custom Pinto Manifold, but can easily be re-spaced. Second Butterflys removed and all holes filled with metal and resurfaced. This includes injectors and Throttle position sensor.
• Custom manufactured Aluminium inlet manifold to fit the Pinto with the water take off pipe. With the lengths of Samco Hose to link the throttle bodies (beautiful job see photo)
• Chrome finish Motorbike filters for the bodies.
• EDIS Module (two of these supplied)
• 36-1 trigger wheel (which is attached to the crank pulley) and sensor
• Inertia switch for the fuel pump
• MEGASQURT Loom. Connector plug wired will obviously need connecting into the various parts of the circuit from then on.
• Air temp sensor
• Coolant sensor
• Exhaust gas sensor
• Injector wiring ( Will need trimming to fit application as you install)
• Zetec Coil Pack
• HT Leads for the above
• Fuel pump with built in swirl pot
I want £500 for the lot: Which is a fair bit less than this lot cost. Never been used as I sold the car and the chap buying didn’t want to get involved in modding the Westy. This will take a fair amount of work and patience but is virtually complete and only requires a fuel rail and monir parts to make it work (oh and a bit of know how!!). I never had the time to do it or use the car hence why she was sold
Based near Ashby De La Zouch (De11) or can post at cost. I reckon it wouldn’t be over £15 to post in the UK . Will accept paypal Cash or Cheque (although nothing gets posted or handed over until it’s cleared) email glyn-clarke@o2.co.uk . Can take more pictures if required. Might Ebay it if it's not moved by Friday this week
So first dabs on this forum
Cheers

Would you be interested in splitting?

I don't need any of the pinto bits, manifold, trigger wheel etc.

I might be interested, getting fed up with setting up carbs!

Do you know if 750 TBs are large enough for a 2.1 pinto with BV head, race cam etc.

Cheers
Hugh

Hi
I'll answer both questions in one post if that ok
I would prefer not to split as I think it is a good package. If it doesn't go I'll come back to you though

Should be fine for a 2.1 thats what mine was. I had a Newman stage 4 cam and a big valve head on mine. I reckon they will make a lovely noise!!

Dont you love love Ebay
After a week some t*sser decides he cant afford the kit now
So before I stick it back on there and incurr more time wasted does anyone want to make me a reasonable offer.

email glyn-clarke@o2.co.uk
Just for info the manifold alone is £150
you know how much the ECU etc are all brand new only the bodies and the sensors coil etc are " recycled"
Would make a cracking project on a decent Pinto engined motor!
