FS: 1600 CVH engine

Gauging interest in the 1600CVH we have taken out of the car. Spec as follows:

- Bored to 1620cc with AE pistons
- Balanced bottom end with tuftrided crank
- Heavy duty big end shells
- Single peice stainless Burton valves
- Ports cleaned up and sharp edges at back of valve seats removed.
- Fel-Pro steel head gasket
- Block and head have been skimmed. Compression ratio around 10.5:1.
- Non-stretch head bolts.
- Vernier cam pulley
- Mod to allow the oil pressure bleed to be adjusted from the outside.
- Lightweight RS2000 flywheel machine to fit CVH crank and take clutch. (Was fitted to Ford Type 9 ‘box)
- Sold with coil, distributor, leads and Irdium plugs to suit.
- Inlet for twin 40s and Exhaust manifolds to suit available.
- Ally alternater bracket also available

The winged wet sump has been promised to another LCB member so it can either be sold an old road car sump or dry sump sump!

Most of its life has been spent in a race car (clubmans car and Locost). We have previously had a problem with the head gasket failing when running in the Locost but it has since been running on the road and a trackday over the past couple of years without problems reoccurring. It is at very least a strong bottom end with some nice head parts. Not sure what its worth so would accept offers.

Pic as it was in the car:
