mini disc was a fab format until mp3 killed it off. i still have a mint condition sony mzr-91 in its box i couldn't bring my self to sell for peanuts as it cost a small fortune when new.

if anyone is into recording their own music the sony portables are pretty good even by todays standards and are much more rugged then most formats when out on the road doing gigs

Minidisc is great

I use a Sony MXD CD to MD recorder and also use this linked up via my mac to record from iTunes etc straight over to MD, and have a 4 disc Kenwood MDLP unit, its a great format, I would never replace it, I also have an ipod, but once again would not bring myself to sell it due to reliability and cost involved and I also have about 200 Minidiscs :-)

Looking to maybe get a cheaper Kenwood MDLP player for my trike :-)

It's not that i'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.....

I used to have both of the items above, and ended up giving/(selling for not a lot) the seperate and just throwing the personal MD away - it killed me to do it, but I despise ebay and had long since lost the instructions and box etc for it...

Gutted that I don't own them now and wish I still did, but things have moved on.

Still, it owuld be a god buy for someone at those prices Flak!

I still have two minidisc machines, both Sony.
Used to have a Tascam one too which was bought in the fear that the Sony ones would break.

They never have.
I heartily recommend them.

We use them for providing music playback.

It's a great format.

It is a great format, I just never use the kit any more so it seems a little pointless having it sitting there.

Infact I can't remember the last time I even used my portable MP3 player now I have an MP3 stereo in the car...
