Hayabusa Dry Sump Kit
For a short time on offer to a locoster at £500 + postage, before it goes abroad.....
The kit was removed from my car as I needed to switch to a sump kit driven from the other side of the engine - all parts supplied are fully functional
and many parts are new. DOES NOT INCLUDE OIL TANK.
The kit is sold by Westfield for £1457!!
This kit includes:
BRAND NEW pump (worth over £350 alone)
Westfield sump with hose couplings to oil tank and scavenge pump.
Hoses to connect sump to pump.
Bolts to connect sump to engine.
Sump baffle plate + used (but reusable) gaskets.
1 brand new genuine suzuki sump gasket as a spare.
New design pump mounting bracket (weaknesses designed out of this version)
Brand new pump mounting hardware (ensuring no corrosion/wear)
Full crank front cover (not included in Westfield kit) with crank adaptor fitted.
Crank pulley wheel.
2 pump drive belts (1 used, 1 new).
2 brand new high-tensile hardened pulley retaining bolts (another major cause of weakness - the supplied ones aren't up to the job) - only
one needed, one is spare.
This kit does not include the oil tank (as it is still being used), but any oil tank which can take 5L of oil will do, somewhere like Merlin
Motorsport, Demon Tweaks or SBD can supply.
I can't guarantee 100% of the nuts/bolts/washers are there (although we did our best to retain them all when removing) and you may need a few
gaskets/seals depending on the condition of yours. You'll obviously also need hoses/fittings for the oil tank to sump and from the pump back to
your oil tank (via cooler if you have one - I can include the original westfield -10 JIC hose which goes from pump to cooler if required).
I will also include the original parts list (makes it easier if you want to order spare parts from Westfield direct) and page 1 of the installation
instructions (I don't know how many pages there should be, I only ever received 1 page, however westfield will happily fax you the instructions
if you call and ask, and they also offer great tech support over the phone). To be fair the westfield instructions were vague at best, and I found
the pictures and detail on this site to be more useful: http://www.megabusa-build.co.uk/diary.php?category_id=4
The sump pan has a few scratches on the bottom of it, but is fully functional.
