For Sale: Pinto + Type9 + twin 40's
I have a Pinto, which was sold to me as a 2.1, althouth I have not checked it.
It has a hot cam in it, again dont know what it is.
Twin 40 Dellorto's on Manifold
4 Branch exhaust manifold (would need modifying for a Se7en)
Starter motor, alternator, dizzy, ie a complete engine package.
I took this out of a Cosworth lookalike that had terminal timworm.
The engine was running well and seemed fine, otherwise I would have not bought it.
In the end I went for the whole hog and put in a V8 (its what i really wanted)
£325 ono.
Now £250..... I need the space!

Interested in the Pinto
HI,
I am interested in the Pinto engine.
Do you know if this has an unleaded head?
Did you drive the car with the engine in it or did you just listen to the engine running?
When was it last run?
I can collect in the next few days if still available.
Regards.
Ian

Shandylegs was the first to get his reply in, so he has first "Dibs".
There are 6 people interested, so, I will take it in date/time order after that, if he is not interested.
I have now uploaded sme pictures into my archive.

Hope this is of use.
Geoff
EDIT:
Just looked up the engine number.
Manufacture Date May 1985. Dont know if that helps for the Emissions etc.
