FS: Desktop PCs
I have a pair of desktop PCs I am looking to sell.
One is a core i3 based machine, the other is a core 2 duo 3.0ghz. Both have been used for 3d modeling/solid works type stuff.
Built them both from proper top spec components so they are pretty damn solid machines.
I am going to be building myself a small supercomputer to cope with recent project work so these two need to go.

Not sure on price. Would have to have a think... Or welcome offers.
The machines full spec is:
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Processor: Core2 Duo E6850 (3.0ghz)
Memory: 3Gb
Graphics: GeForce 7900GS twin DVI output.
Hdd: 150gb
Case is a fancy black thing.
I could pop Win7 on there and SW if you want it... No CDs though.

Fair comment... Have had one of those all day hangovers making me to silly things.
Poking about on ebay puts this sort of spec machine at around the £200 mark.

I read that a company had used a lot of networked PS3, or X-Boxes to make a large multi processored machine, as it was cheaper than using PC's
to Top spec servers.
Not my thing though!
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Sounds plausible, as I seem to recall some game machines using power pc chips. I think they were making use of multi core chips that failed quality
checks that mean they could not be used in servers...
