Luego Velocity 2.0 Zetec for Sale - with trailer!

The time has come for our pride and joy to be sold :-( . Dad and I (Norfolkluego) have poured a fair amount of time, money and not a small blood into
this car, and it has served us well. The reason for sale is a decision to change classes in the sprint championship we’re running in to have more
people to race against. The car is in Norfolk, and can be viewed, seen running etc.
The car is equally happy on the road or track. It’s not a balls out race machine as would occasionally be used for road blasts. It stats first time
everytime, even after a cold spell in the garage.
If you do want to getting into sprinting, its fully compliant for the Road Going class. It’s been competitive in class, regularly beating
Exiges/Elises/Westfields etc.
The Spec:
Luego Velocity XT – Factory built chassis
2.0 Ford Zetec engine
Lighter CVH flywheel, new clutch about 2-3k ago
Type 9 gearbox with quick shift kit
Honda Fireblade carbs overhauled by Bogg Brothers
Pipercross trumpet socks
Bogg Brothers inlet manifold
BGH Geartech exhaust manifold/collector (covered in exhaust wrap)
13 row Mocal oil cooler
Megajolt Ignition
Shift light wired through Megajolt
Polo rad with 13" fan
Wilwood 4 pot callipers with solid discs
Drums on rear, shoes still good.
IRS with sierra diff (not sure of ratio)
Independent CBS brake fluid reservoirs and master cylinders for front and rear
Brake bias bar
21 point adjustable, rose jointed Avo coilovers all round – Excellent bits of kit, with a spare set of springs if I can find them.
Two triton fibreglass race seats, driver’s seat adjustable for back/forward movement.
Driver has a 3 inch FIA Sabelt harness (still in date for racing).
Passenger has a 2 inch TRS harness – Can be supplied with matching drivers harness if required.
Plumbed in Lifeline2000 fire extinguisher.
Westfield (or Caterham, I can’t remember) aero screen.
15” Fox Alloys (I think) with useable road tyres. We had planned to change these for the R888’s in garage – we’ve got a full set that can be bought
separately.
Bad Points:
We’ve used and enjoyed this car so the bodywork looks lived in but is perfectly serviceable – a few scuffs here and there, but it all adds to the
character. Stickers can be removed if you wish.
Currently its SORN as we wouldn’t MOT or tax till the new season starts in March. Correctly registered as a Luego Velocity on V5 with an age related
‘E’ plate.
Tracking needs doing after we changed all front brake components at the end of last year.
Price £4850 INCLUDING single axle trailer – good usable condition, but brakes currently not connected. Has towed mini’s, kit cars etc 100’s of miles
with no problems.
Price reflects the lack of MOT currently and the fact it’s not a show car. It’s been a fantastic kit and I’d love it to go to someone on here so I can
track its progress.
