Still available, details:

Well built Raw Striker, which is fun and quick – a real point and squirt machine. 2.0 litre Pinto (205 block) with ported race head, on xzzr 1100 throttle bodies. Rolling road tuned May ‘19. Smooth 120 bhp power delivery – and is plenty in this lightweight car. Comes with bespoke half-hood which is a useful compromise for touring and shower protection. Full documentation including original invoices from RAW and SVA forms and approval, correctly registered. Fibre glass is in reasonable to good condition with the normal stone chips etc and starring on the cycle wings. Reason for selling: simply not used enough!

Further info:

Gear shift indicator
High torque starter motor
Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 tyres – good condition all round
Doors & side screens

Is that 120bhp at the wheels or fly?

Hi,

That's120 at the fly, still able to propel a lightweight car at a reasonable lick though!

Well, not a lot of interest shown on Pistonheads so I'm afraid it's going on eBay at the weekend. Wish me luck..

Very interesting.
I'm in the process of building a rather special hillclimb 1700 Pinto engine at the moment, after temporarily shelving it a few years ago.I need a car to stick it in. A live axle Striker would have been my preference, but this looks good too.

Are uprated drive shafts available for this diff set-up? I know a lot of uprated hillclimb Westfields (and the like) that used to regularly snap the standard shafts.

I'm running 3J Driveline uprated shafts on my live axle Striker

The standard 22 spline are rated to about 180-200 BHP. Anything more and they recommend going for the 16 or 18 tooth options depending on your LSD

Quaife also do a kit but I believe it adds an inch or two to the track

Many thanks. This Striker is actually an IRS set-up; something I'm not too familiar with as all three of my previous Sylvas were live axle cars. I've heard stories of them snapping.

Out of interest, is that 120hp running unleaded and without an uprated cam? And who did the porting work?

Hi Chris,

According to my file it has FR34 cam kit and it's described as a 'race prepared' head by Gainspeed - but I haven't atempted to verify that. It's running on unleaded. For info I have fitted a 'decibel eater' which is probably restricting power a bit.

Now sold - much more interest on eBay than Pistonheads which surprised me.
