It's a series, second part is in the current edition. If no one else can scan the first instalment I can have a go at the weekend.

Might even be 3 part series as i have the second one - mounting supercharger and 'begin head work'.
He has replaced the valves and guides (Uses cheap ones specified in the article - vw guides and peugeot valves), had head work done to allow fitting of bigger valves(recess in top of head too as the new valves are shorter, but he wanted to keep the original springs), mounting bracket made by a firm who have made up a few for stock- retroford, Uses an eaton M45 supercharger, ARP head bolts, and looks like next months article will involve a change to roller rockers/pillars.

Hopre that helps

Were they not Merc valves?

I've just checked - Peug on exhaust, Merc on inlet - sorry about that
