i'm short of 2 6.4mm double crimp non-insulated ring terminals for 1mm cable if anyone has any lying around.
trying to avoid pounds of p+p on something that costs pence

cheers

what is a doube crimp terminal?

I'll take a look but I don't think I have.

What I do if I am stuck, is to make some from copper pipe. It will be a better conductor but it needs to have wire soldered as the home made crimp will not be as strong due to the metal.

It is good idea to tin the connector with solder as it stops the copper oxidising.

It'll be fine for 1 mm cable - for really chunky cable I would use proper connectors.

also crimps the insulation like a non-insulated blade terminal does, a lot of ring terminals are only single crimp.
i want them to match the other one i have already used in a visible place in the engine bay otherwise i would of tried your method.
looks like i'll have to get them from VWP
