Sierra push in driveshafts
flak monkey - 22/5/09 at 08:16 PM

Anyone got a spare set of push in driveshafts from a sierra going spare?

Need the larger ones, which are 27-28mm diameter, not the smaller ones.

Kicking myself as I had a spare set not so long agao which I thre out!

Beer tokens await....and no major hurry, could collect at newark....

Cheers,
David

I may have a set in the garage, though they are still attached to the wheel hubs.

It the diameter measure on the diff input splines or the shaft itself?

Cool

On the splines which push into the diff

Hi,
They look to be about 28mm plus or minus about 0.3mm.

They look like they need an overhaul as they are manky dirty and still have the hubs attached.

I'll get them out the garage tomorrow and just make sure that they arn't fubar. From what I remember they have been left in greasy bin bags for about 2 years.

Does £20 if you pickup sound alright?

Hi,
U2U is on its way.

Mike, if Flack doesn't want them, I'll give you 2nd dibs.

I've got quite a few other bits around that I'm going to do clearance on soon, once I've got my engine running , such as:
Type 9 gear level extension (it fouls my prop by about 1mm and with my gorilla arm's I don't really need it so there is no point in getting a new prop), a couple of engines (2.0 & 1.8), a type 9 gearbox, a diff for the push in shafts, possibly a points based dizzy, manual choke webb carb & a set of 5 pepper pot alloys.
I'll put them up in the for sale though.
