Do what I did - take the plug apart and replace the old wire with new stuff! That way, all the cabling in the car is new and less likely to perish in the near future, as most EDIS modules and associated parts are 10+ years old.

Yuo just need a fine metal toothpick or similar point to remove the individual pins, and then connect new wires directly onto them and place back in the plug unit. Just to be flash, I removed all the un-necessary wiring and kept as spares in the elecrical tub.

If you can't change the wires on the pins themselves, cut them back and solder on new wires as close to the pins as possible, remembering to heatshrink them to ensure a good seal so they can't touch the other wires.

Think i've got some pics somewhere of how I did it, will post later if I can find them easily.

ah, cool, i didn't think you could really solder new wire oto the old pins. if you've got some pictures though, that would be cool

I might have a spare one in the workshop. When I'm back in tomorrow I'll have a look.

Had a look around the workshop. Despite having 2 x edis4 modules, I only have the one plug, which is on my loom? Sorry about that.
