Wanted: R1 530 Chain link
nitram38 - 4/6/09 at 06:25 PM

I need to shorten the Motaleira Chain and need a link to put back in (the crush type, not clip link)
Anyonehave one to sell or know where to get one?
I don't fancy buying a new chain just for the link.
Cheers Martin

just re use the rivetted ones ,ive re used normal links on mine and had no issues, the chain splitter from m+p has a tool for peening the ends back over but they are such a good fit they wont come loose ,no problems with any of the four chains on my car with over 300hp going through them

I'll give it a go, but I don't want to be left without a car if it doesn't work.

B&C Express will sell you the correct link to suit whatever chain you have

soft links are easier to push through with the splitting tool but ive had no failures yet ,my car has two final drive chains for drag racing but i run a single chain for road use and put over 300hp through it when using the nitrous
