hello all and happy new year, ok finished my engine projects, now its time to sort out the dash, so im after some pointers and some stuff. ok so
1. whats the best material to make a dash out of, also something to use for the transmission tunnel etc.
2. ive got a mix match of dials, including half the original seira set, so what do you recomend, new dials or digi dash? say £100 budget max.
3. could someone point me in the right direction of a oil preassure sender for my pinto engine, found a couple on ebay but seem quite expensive,
thankyou all.
£100 for clocks wont get you much I know as Ive been looking myself.
Acewell do a couple which will sit in that price bracket. Russbot on here offers a discount to LCB members
Cheapest option for the dials is the sierra clocks .
Ally is good for the inner panels and dash, for padding to the dash you can use the foam matress people use for camping these retail at between £3 and
£4

I've got an Acewell and am very happy with it.

Depends on your taste and your budget. I personally don't like the way the normal digital ones look. If I were going for an all in one, I would
go for something like the Acewell 28xx series
ETA have a
linky on
me.

Take a look at this seminal LCB thread on dashboards for some pointers....

As above though £100 doesn't get you much in the way of dials - IIRC a set of ETB dials including Speedo, Tach, Fuel, Water and Oil cost me over
£300 by the time you've added all the senders as well.
