wanted scuttle
condition not inportant , as i intend to widen to +4

I'm posting on the spur of the moment, so if this has been discussed before (even by me) - apologies.

What is your plan for widening it?

I also now have a Luego scuttle I need to widen by approx 4". I did ponder the angle of the side of the chassis, which doesn't match the scuttle, but have concluded that I can "pull" it to fit .

That just leaves the widening - any clever ideas?

well as i dont have one yet
this a bit of dream work...........
cut the scuttle in 1/2
clamp each half to the rails
then make up some strips of ply/mdf
and screw to the under side
holding it firm, then bond some ally on
under side and glass over ...............
well something like that anyway

I have a fibreglass scuttle. It is brand new, made without a bulkhead, as I was going to try and fit it over my existing scuttle frame. By the time it had been made etc, I had finished making one out of ali, so it's surplus to requirements. You might be too far away though! Can send you a picture.
