Type 9 Speedo Drive & Cable

Well, almost ready to submit for the IVA

Spent a bit of time today sorting out a few more little bits and bobs, decided to fit the speedo I have which is not the right connection at one end but I can hopefully get one quickish. Trouble is, when I ran the car up the drive to check it out....no speedo! On inspection, it turns out that the short rod-thingy that fits in the end of the 90-deg adaptor on the gearbox side has snapped in two!!

So basically I'm after either a replacement for it, or ideas as to what to use, and also a cable which has the screw cap on one end that connects to the adaptor (approx 15mm across) and the other end is for the speedo which also has a threaded connection (about 10mm across).

Thanks.

JB

Speedy cables - http://www.speedycables.com/cables.html are your friend

You can cut a bit off an old speedo cable to replace your broken bit - but think first - why did it break ?

Think it must have been weakened already (got it second-hand). Today is the first time I've connected anything to it and it didn't work straight off ('cos it was laready snapped).
