Seems the onboard sound card on my Packard Bell tower has died anyone got a normal sound card they want shot of that i can put in.
By coincidence I actually have 2x spare sound cards here. Both are Creative Labs Sound Blaster cards. One says it's a SB0060 and the other CT4740. Any use ?
Nice one .No idea if one would fit unless they're all the same fitment ?? anyone know ??

Pretty sure they're both PCI cards so should fit (go for the 0060).
I'll have a few PCI car ones kicking about and maybe even a few old ISA ones too

Make sure you load the correct drivers for the card you fit. Shouldnt be a problem them.
Creative Labs stuff was always pretty good.

These are both standard PCI cards so will fit any PCs made in the last 10 years or so. Check that you have a free PCI slot- it's likely you will
have as the motherboards in most of HP's tower cased systems had a few PCI expansion slots.
If so just PM me with your address and i'll get one of these sound cards in the post to you. Ive no idea what the postage is so Paypal me £ 3
and anything above the cost of postage I'll donate to charity.
