Not wtd anymore. A length of scrawny cable!
owelly - 25/4/12 at 09:25 AM

Before I throw myself at the mercy of Ebay or buy a 50m reel from RS, has anyone got some lightweight two core cable so I can extend my speed sensor cable for my Vapor Dash. I can't see myself spending my hard earned on the correct Trail Tech cable just for the convenience of it having the correct plugs on the end as I've already stood on the one fitted to the end of the switch cable and crushed it! About 1.5 meters would get the dash tied to the sensor bolted to my rear subframe.
Cheers, Owelly.

might I suggest maplin, cable by the meter and reasonable cost,.. or some speaker cable? a bit of tv coax, how cheap do you need?

Had a quick look in the stores and no 2 -core, but got some 3-core 0.5mm sq. I could pop a couple of metres in an envelope if it is not too big for you.

Might have some at work but can't check until I'm in tomorrow. Do you get post in Whitby??

Cheers guys but I've just spotted tons of the stuff in a box next to my feet........why didn't I think of chopping the cable off one of the dozens of phone chargers/plug top transformers?!

I was going to suggest that !
Sorted !

Just make sure it's well screened otherwise you'll be prone to getting interference.

S'OK Andy. I have it sorted now. It's a shame I've lost the fecking magnet now! It'll be stuck to something.

Probably the plate in your head mate

Nah, my head is made of jam. The original cable doesn't appear to be screened so I'm hoping it'll be ok. Not that there's much electricity in the car anyway!
