Most engines considered but if car-engined must have type 9 box.
Simpler the better - will be used for sprinting. Prefer fibreglass seats to allow for my height.
Must be SVA'd/MOT'd.
Absolute max budget £5k but would prefer to spend less to allow for modifications to my needs.
Car preferably located in SE but will consider a bit further for the right car.
Thanks
Andy

Any particular reason for choosing the Indy?
Nothing against it, but there are a lot of other cars out there within budget which would equally or better suit your needs.
Hi
If pacifically for sprinting you want a car that's a bit smaller than an over sized MK. Try looking for a ST / Aries Locost Live axle or IRS, or
an early Westfield again live axle or IRS ( but with the escort diff in a bespoke Westfield alloy housing ), Or a Sylva striker.
Cheers Matt
I like the Indy primarily cosmetically but also I'm quite tall and having sat in a Robin hood and a MX5 based Westfield I found them too small.
I've found the Tigers a bit of a minefield when it comes to models and feel the Indy would retain it's value.
I have considered the Striker but I'm not big on it's looks and they seem to come in a little more pricey than Indys. Other than that
I'm not too comfortable taking a punt on a smaller manufacturer which I don't know enough about or will struggle to find.
Lastly I genuinely don't know enough about engineering to be confident in assessing a homebuilt locost, and don't fancy the grief of trying
to work out where bits came from should anything break.
So that's my reasoning in a nutshell....
Sylva Striker is a long established and well proven car for competing in.
The same for ST (Stuart Taylor)/Aries too.
Any car from any manufacturer (even the factory built ones) will use a variety of components from a variety of donors. It depends entirely on what
the builder wanted to fit, could afford to fit or could find.
On this forum you'll be able to find out very quickly what any specific part came from, where to get it and what could be substituted so
don't worry on that score.
Hope that helps and make sure you ask as many questions as you like
