Parts washer use
AndyW - 19/7/12 at 09:05 PM

Hi all,

thought I would ask here as you never know. Im in the process of changing the turbo on SWMBO car. Now the turbo failed in a big way but its had oil issues for some time. Basically this is what I need cleaning.

Inlet manifold. Full of oily gunky dirty waxy yucky stuff and lots of it.
Intercooler. Has had quite a bit of oil through it and needs a good clean out
Intercooler pipe work. Again oily inside and out and needs a good clean.
Turbo feed and return pipes. Just need a good flush through.

I am trying to clean out the bits in the garage, but the prob is is my garage is so clean and tidy with the kit in it, I will only end up with oil splashed everywhere! And it would take forever with a tub of gunk, a small bucket and a wire brush. (this needs doing properly)

So, has anyone got a decent parts washer that I could use, or know of anyone who could clean out a few bits for me. Im more than happy to supply some cleaning fluid stuff if that helps.

Please let me know, so as soon as I have these parts clean I can get on with putting the car back together and stop "her" from borrowing my nice new car all the time.

Please can anyone help!!!

Thanks

Andy

AndyW,

I have a Ozzy Juice Bio-Cleaner at work and I live very close to Luton Airport.

Its a very gentle, non-abrasive parts cleaner which is fantastic !

Throw me a few beer tokens and Ill clean it to the best of my ability if you want.

Petrol works well for flushing oil out of intercoolers etc.

Just take all it bits upstairs and clean them in the bath
