My plan is to cut the chest wings off my Kirkey seats, and leave some lateral support in, but I need some u channel to weld on to cover the bare edges.


Would prefer a permanent fix


Any suggestions where I might find a product up to it. ??

Aaaah good call. I always rummage the B&Q scrap bin, only need about 3' or so.
