Turbo wanted for 2.0 zetec engine
mcramsay - 22/8/12 at 08:07 PM

Hey guys I'm looking to do a turbo conversion on my 2.0 zetec over the winter, I'm looking for a garret t3 turbo, I think this is the correct one needed for the conversion, however if that is wrong or some one has a better turbo suitable for the conversion then I would be interested! Not fussed on condition as I will be doing a rebuild before using it! Even if it's completley goosed I can still use it to mock up the install! Let me know if you have anything suitable kicking around the garage!

what kind of power are you looking for ? The KO4s Vw one is not a bad one. Nephew fitted the Escort RS Turbo to his then removed it and had a Hybrid made melted the plugs at 260bhp

I'm looking for an absolute max of 250 bhp. So I will be running relatively low boost, as the zetec internals won't be getting uprated. Prob want to be running around the 230bhp mark to keep things safe

Brother in law has a small garret from a 1.7 volvo the old wedge shape one it should spool pretty quick due to the size I can ask him for more details

the one everyone is raving about at the min is the gt2560. which is basically the older t28 but with ceramic ball bearings. they are just about the best turbo for a 2.0 engine at the min. they will make 330bhp but spool almost twice as fast as a t3. if you only want 250hp then you just don't run it flat out.

I will take any turbo that fits the bill for a reasonable price! So let me know!

T25 off a Saab 9000 (or the T3 off the Aero) will do the job easily...
