MX5 Rear Uprights
Padstar - 27/8/12 at 08:46 AM

Due to me not having the minerals to remove the through bolts from the lower wishbone i now have to useless rear uprights so i am looking for 2 to replace the ones i am about to put in the bin.

Require 2 rear uprights that have had all bolts removed from them. Just need the bare items.

Any help much appreciated. Croydon based.

I removed the bolts from 3 sets of mx5 rear uprights in 2008 and I didn't have any trouble at all. I can't even remember how i did it? Whats the issue?

Did you post another thread about this? my brain is failing.

I might still have a set in the back of the garage. Assuming yours are not damaged I'll do a straight swap if you cover postage.

Yes it's me that has the other post running. I will take to local garage next week to see if they have a press. If they dont and u have a spare set I will do a swap for sure if that's good with u

I cut the lower bolts with a powered hack saw then heated the bit of bolt left and hit it out with a hammer and chisel.

No it wont but heating it up with Oxy bottles will make it easy to get out. Mine were rock solid. The Bolts are best part of £13 each!
