B230F to Type9 bellhousing.

Trying to work out costs for installing the B230F volvo engine into the 7, I would prefer for ease, to retain the ford type 9, so has anyone got a bellhousing to suit and if so how much would you want for it?.

Thanks

This engine already has a RWD gearbox that bolts straight up doesn't it? Surely that's the easiest option even if it does mean altering the prop, mounts etc. Anyway, if you're using the turbo version that's likely to 'munch' the type 9 isn't it?

The t9 wouldnt take the torque. There are adapters made for the bmw gearboxes. If you find a t9 adapter then please post it up as an mt75 should take the grunt.

The only white block rwd gearbox that will take the torque is the m90 from the rare 3.0 960.

This box will NOT fit where a t9 once sat.

The B230F is the old 'red block' from the 700/900 range isn't it? With its own RWD box.

Shows what I know about the swiss lumps

I thought all 2.3 dohc where white blocks. Wasnt the gearbox still the M90 ??

I did a bit of research on fitting a t5 but the engine is cheap as the gearbox isnt.
