WTD. Auto-eject plug!

Not your usual Locost want but you never know!
My latest toy (an ambulance), has a rather nifty auto-eject 'shoreline' socket mounted in the front wing. As it's name suggests, it
automatically pops the plug out as you start the engine. The shoreline keeps the batteries charged whilst the engine is not running and as I intend to
use the ambo as a camper, I'd like to use the socket as a 'hook-up' for use on campsites, and whilst parked at home.
I've managed to find the company that originally supplied the gear (http://www.ludomcgurk.com) and they have verified that the system will work
fine with 240v, as opposed to the 115v it has written on it, and they have also said they can supply a new cover in blue to suit the voltage. For a
suitable plug and a new flappy lid, they want £50 incl p&p and vat.
I like the idea of the auto-eject but not £50s worth of liking. I have disconnected the cable from the back of the unit and fitted a 3-pin plug for
now but that won't stop SWMBO from dragging the house down the road when she uses the ambo.
So, anyone recognise the socket? Recommend somewhere to buy a plug? I will be searching scrapyards for ambulances soon so may find a flappy cover.

When I used to drive big red things (before auto eject!) I used to loop the charging cable across the door opening so that I couldn't get in
without moving it and, hopefully, unplugging it! Always worked for me and I never ended up driving down the road with 20 feet of cable trailing
behind.
Just a thought and a cheaper option maybe!

or use a plug with more pins, and use the spare to stop the starter/sound the horn when the ignition is turned on
would just need a loop of wire in the plug end, and a little extra wiring on the ambulance

Good suggestions. The Kussmaul webby shows Ludo McGurk as the only UK dealer. Currently, I have an extention reel sat on the drivers seat so it's
unlikely that I'll drive off sitting on it. I guess I'll have to fork outg the £50 or use something else.

I like Dave R's idea - you could even enhance this by using the loop as a sort of start inhibit loop.
