Hi there,
Im after a 2.1 pinto block ideally 205. I have 93mm pistons for it so they must fit! Also if you have a crank that would be great too!
Cheers
2.1 blocks are bored to fit different pistons, +2.25 oversize (93.03mm) or 2.8 V6 pistons (92.936) these are slightly different
If you use Forged pistons the piston to bore clearance is also different
I would buy a 205 block and have it bored to fit your pistons or buy a complete 2.1 bottom end

fitting new or used pistons to a differant seasoned bore is asking for trouble.
Thanks for the advice, has anyone got a 2.1 bottom end with pistons then at all?
Cheers
I'm going to throw in a curved ball here
Why a 2.1?
It don't make that much difference
I would save money for Forged pistons on Cosworth rods
You then can choose pistons from +0.5 upwards and run any compression ratio to 8000rpm
Any pinto block will do, you save money on the block, Cosworth rods are cheap secondhand
Your cost is forged pistons
