I am in need of a new gearbox to bolt up to my 2 litre zetec, or reccomendation of a gearbox reconditioner in the south ?

broken it?

BGH geartek, get one with a high first gear so much better than the standard first gear

Thanks, BGH have good feedback.

I will have a think about a recon, i got lucky with the old one "hicost" had done a fair few thousand miles with it under some pressure with a beefed up pinto and have had it in mine for 10 years so i cant grumble.
It was making some grumbles and now decided to leak both ends so i think its time, plus the fact the engine is coming out too.

Why not have a go at reconditioning it yourself, you can get bearing and gasket sets fairly cheaply.

RWD Motorsport were at Stoneleigh and do an adapter to fit V6 box to an inline Ford £45
V6 box is the poor mans solution

There's a couple on eBay,where in the south, there's nearly a dozen gearbox specialists in Guildford area,
