Pinto engine.

Just thinking about maybe completing the Dax with a Pinto in order to get it through IVA on an engine that doesn't need a cat and Lambda etc.

Just on the off chance, does anyone have a reasonable 2.0l pinto that they don't want a huge amount of money for.

I would probably replace it later on.

There's a bloke on rhocar who's got one for sale for £50

Can't help you, but good plan, that's exactly what i did (well with an xflow anyway).

Only gutting bit is then having to take the engine back out to replace it with a decent one after you've been told that you can now legally drive your car on the road....
Oh well, needs must!

Good luck!

Not seen rhocar before.

Pinto seems popular there. Couldn't see the 50 quid one though.

Surely you are better off sticking an early silver top Zetec in and running it on bike carbs or similar? No farting about with engine mounts, as cheap and easier to find that a Pinto too.....
Just a thought.....
