As title, anyone got one lying around they do not need?

I recently fitted a Davies Craig EWP 80 to a Lotus Twincam engined Westfield to replace the notoriously troublesome standard unit but using a home-brewed controller in place of the (expensive) Davies Craig one.
I wired a 4ohm ( IIRC ) 100W power resistor in series with the pump motor so that the pump ran at about 50% when the ignition was on.
Then I fitted a Kenlowe type fan controller thermostat ( about a tenner off ebay ) which was set to trip at 90 degrees. ( 10 degrees above thermostat temp ) This bypassed the resistor to give full power to the pump and simultaneously switched the fan on.
It worked perfectly. And its Locost.
The resistor value was arrived at by trial and error using buckets of water an a few hoses. Even at 50% the flow was quite powerful. The resistor gets fairly hot but it's mounted to a heatsink and in the airflow.
If I do another I would use 200W resistor.
