Looking for a VAG breakers regarding a flat bottomed steering wheel.
These are normally found in a MK7 golf or scirocco etc.

It's for my T5.

I can get one but as soon as you mention T5, there is a massive scene tax !

eBay also has a scene tax on them... Any ideas where I can get a cheaper one.

Another VAG brand might provide what you need - Audi, Skoda, Seat for example. From experience the centre badges aren't that hard to change either.

Just scanned fleabay and the prices seem a little excessive to me for such things

Maybe it's worth visiting a scrappy yourself to see if you can get one cheaper.
