Project Wanted
alan87 - 10/5/20 at 12:11 PM

Hi All,

I've got a friend who wants a project to fill his new garage. He's not got a massive budget (max £2500). Seven style, registered would be great. We are based on the south coast so sadly nothing majorly north.

Other than that criteria is pretty broad!

Anyone got something hiding in their garage they are wanting rid of?

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan

I might have something …….

I have a part built (90% ??) locost/haynes based 7. Regrettably circumstances and other things have meant that it has sat like this for a while now. I am realistic to see that I probably wont ever get the time to finish it
Obviously not registered as its unfinished but it does have VIN no.
Basic spec is; 1800 pinto & type 9, Sierra disc braked rear axle, alloy tub body, f/glass wings scuttle, nose etc (no bonnet)

Wouldn't be looking for anything like the available budget and I am based nr Pulborough.

email me at chris.at45@btinternet.com if of interest.

Cheers Chris

Hi Alan,

Did you ever get a project sorted out?

Cheers,

Colin

Hi Colin.

Yes thank you. Chris's car is now safely tucked up in my friends garage.

What was it you have? Did you want to drop me a DM with details?

Alan

Hi Alan,

It’s a part-built rolling chassis using a Vauxhall red top with RS2000 back axle. I actually bought the project a number of years ago but unfortunately have not managed to move it along. It seems a shame for me to hang onto it when I’m sure somebody else could do it justice and have fun with it.

A few basics on it - professionally built (not by me!) powder coated chassis and suspension, refurbished Ford Venom alloys with new Yokohama tyres, modified prop shaft, vented front discs, rear drums, full custom exhaust incl catalytic converter, Cobra bucket seats, dials, steering wheel, fuel tank, Vickie Green wiring loom, scuttle, instruments, steering rack and column, some bodywork, etc, etc.

It’s basically a rolling chassis with fitted (but not running) engine, gearbox, rear axle that needs maybe 100 extra hours.

Please let me know if you want any more information. I’m about to start putting together and advert which will have all of the details and some pictures.

Regards,

Colin
