Wanted - Weather Forecast for Scotland
Guinness - 12/6/08 at 07:25 AM

As title really! Given that the BBC's weather reports refer to Birmingham as "the North" I'm looking for some idea of what the weather is going to be like this weekend from some locals!

Specifically, Friday (driving from Newcastle to Fort William), Saturday (climbing Ben Nevis), and Sunday (driving home).

The BEEB puts it as light showers / light rain all weekend, which kind of rules out taking the Indy.

Any advice from guys on the ground up there?

Cheers

Mike

Trouble is, John, that metcheck always seems overoptimistic... I still remember Detling, and the metcheck forecast for this Sunday's Newlands meeting is the only one that doesn't forecast rain

Cheers,

Simon

Pessimist? No, realist!

What a knacker

Checked the BBC for Dh5, showers,
Met office for DH5, heavy rain,
Metcheck says fair

Who's right? Should I ask Paul Daniels??

It's Scotland for god's sake!!!

The only way you know it's summer is that the rain's warm....

(I'm 25% Scottish so I'm already dressed in my flame-war tartan kilt)

That link takes you to a site that's usually correct.

If you go to the map showing uk precipitation, you'll see some showers on Saturday, Sunday morning clear, but get yourself home before the afternoon rain.

Cheers,
Syd,
