WTD - Someone with a punch set to do me a VIN plate

Wondered if some kind soul with a number/letter punch set would be willing to knock me up an IVA friendly VIN plate on a bit of steel and post it to me in exchange for beer tokens??

I've got the number and all the other info, just no punch to do it with.

Thanks

I have a set of stamps, are you in a hurry or can it wait a couple of days until I fit my new sump gasket ? I'm always after a reason to go for a drive

Hiya, I don't want to hijack this post but I have a related question:

Is my understanding corrrect that we can create our own VIN number as long as its 17 characters (Alphanumeric) and the plate follows the rules?

regards.............Neil

I think the answer to that question depends on a number of variables such as

1. Which way the wind is blowing
2. Whether DVLA man got lucky last night
3. Is it am or pm

Joking aside it differs from office to office (DVLA). In Leeds they were dead against me inventing one, whether it stuck to the guidelines or not and they knew which manufacturers made their own and which didn't. I decided to go with whatever they decided as it would be less likely to rock the boat later. Plus the advantage is I've already had my DVLA inspection so will be quicker when IVA is done.

EDIT - the question above UncleFista's.

UncleFista - I'll drop you a u2u later. Cheers mate
