I wanted one of them so I could use the original temp gauge on clocks, but it's going to work out cheaper to buy a complete aftermarket clock with matched sender, told by Yam dealer sender is about £60

Most probably! I don't know for sure what one should look like, but it does seem right. Is it from an R1? If so then I will take it off your hands

Asuming the 4XV is the 98-99 carb model then yes its the right one.
I used it with the original clocks to give temp reading.
£20+postage?
