Mig Welder < £100

Im looking to get my first Mig Welder and i have a budget of £100 including delivery. Delivery can be done via parcel2go.com and is £8, so i will have £90 to spend on the welder.

Id prefer it to include a regulator and some wire, preferably be a Clarke welder. Condition to me doesn't matter, as long as it's functional. Id like it to be at least 120A.

I'm located in Northumberland as well if anyone is near by.

Cheers

Hi,

without being rude I think you will be very fortunate for get that spec etc for 90. You may get a welder for 90 but it might need work or be one of the brands with wire feed issues.

Obviously no harm in askng but I searched for quite some time for that spec welder and struggled to see them for less than 130ish not inc delivery and some were in dubious condition.

In the end I bought the gas/ gasless mig that aldi were selling a few months back, and it has been great!

You could ty gumtree or eBay or even www.Mig-welding.co.uk as they have a used equipment for sale section, but more importantly some great info in what to be looking for.

I picked up a clark turbo welder off ebay for £122, over a year ago

I had to get quite a few bits for it, new feeder, regulator, tips, wire and most of all a bottle of gas and a helmet/gloves (but you might have a few things already) - so in all i nearly spent what it would of cost for a new machine.

The gas bottle was from Adams gas, i paid £94.04 for it, a one off payment, i brought this over a year a go now, and still not used it all, and you do not get charged any monthly fees etc. And then a refill was £54.04 - and then once you have finished with the bottle you get the £40 back If you want the person email address let me know.

If you were planning on having a monthly fee, then i would put this into the pot to send a bit more money etc.

There is a guy on mig-welder called weldequip, he supplied me with the regulator, wire, helmet etc, not that badly priced.

HTH

Watch out on full power- it'll draw 15amps! Wouldn't like your garage electrics to go up in flames! Though i'm sure it'll be fine for most things off a 13a plug
