Transporter trailer needed
I've got my date for dvla inspection at northampton so now need to sort out a transporter trailer.
Thanks to previous suggestions I've found some places to hire from but the problem is that my appointment is on the 29th December so all the
hire firms are closed.
So my Christmas plee to all you helpful locosters out there is. Is there anyone in or near , Tewkesbury, Buckingham, bicester, northampton, milton
keynes or bedford got a trailer that I could borrow for the day?

I've got a trailer that you can borrow (or buy if you want).
If your car is heavy then this probably isn't ideal, as it is unbraked.
It tows well and has 4 wheels. It isn't beautiful but it does seem to work.
I'm in Oxford.

Thanks for the offer. My car weights 660kg and is 65" (1.65m) wide on the rear axle. So, do you think it would be man enough and wide
enough?

Technically the maximum weight allowed is 750kg for an unbraked, and although I haven't weighed the trailer I would be confident that it is a
bit more than 90kg. It is definitely strong enough.
Width wise. I have a Sylva phoenix that fits on it fine with maybe 2inch to spare on either side. The Phoenix is 61inch wide, so that would make
65inch, so its close.
If you don't get a better offer than mine, and are still interested then I can measure up more precisely.

Realized this morning that the weight I was quoting included the man from vosa so I think it will be ok weight wise.
To that end I'd like to take you up on your offer, subject to confirmation of the deck width and agreeing a suitable plan for pick up etc.
I'll send you a u2u with my phone number and we can talk it over.
Cheers
