I've got a big sack of it in the loft somewhere. Rockwool from when I worked in factory making silencers. You can have enough for an exost or
three if you can be bothered to collect. Spose I could be persuaded to post some but not if ur in a rush.

Sunny Morecambe (well actually it's dark and snowing) no probs if u want some. Be careful handling it ie. wear gloves cos it's horrible
stuff. Ideally use a thin layer of stainless steel wool as the first layer over the pipe. It lasts longer. We used to make silencers for TVR and
Lotus amongst many others with this stuff. I got loads of offcuts and insulated my roof and kept a bag left over. It's rockwool made from
melting down basalt rock btw.

Checked your link for Merlin and it looks like glassfibre. It might not last as long cos it will probably melt. Depends how close to manifold and
whether u got ss mesh underneath it. Though bike exosts normally run hotter than cars, also if it's to get u through IVA maybe you actually
want if to gradually get louder.
