WTD: small engine, mini moto etc.

I have a junior kart chassis in my garage and have, perhaps foolishly, promised the kids next door I'd do it up as a project with them.

So, does anyone have a small engine tucked away that would do the job or maybe a mini moto that I could break down?

Something with a gearbox would be cool, but not necessary.

I was indeed there, but the promise came up this afternoon after I got home, so I didn't really have an eye out for small engines.

There was a 250cc engine on the bay yesterday with only £11 on it. I think it was a Honda scooter engine.
HTH.

Sorted - found a GX160 from a Pro-kart on Ebay, just down the road from my house for £55 BIN.

Job done, hopefully get it today and then just need a set of wheels/tyres and a repaired or replaced seat.
