Wanted - Duratec engine
My local breakers don't have any duratec 2.0's in stock at the moment, and I need one to go into my Fury. I thought the nice thing to do
would be to ask the collective if they had one first, before I went off to the breakers.
I would like it to have:
1) Injectors and fuel rail
2) Startermotor
3) alternator
4) all sensors
5) sump
6) water pump - in fact, most of the stuff that bolts on to the engine.
I have a set of jenveys so don't need induction, and haven't bought a management system yet.
I will be ordering a bell-housing, clutch etc. Saying that, if you have a rwd bell-housing, clutch and other gubbins to go onto my type 9 box then
i'm still interested (pinto gearbox, right? I think so. At least I hope so, else I may have the wrong bits arriving
So, if you have a duratec in good condition, let me know. I don't mind the miles on the block if the oil pressure and compression are in good
state. There is a school of thought that says that high mileage is good because the thermal cycling of the block increases it's hardness.
Thanks in advance
Mark
