I have the r1 5pw engine in my Mk Indy and I have asked about this before and out of everyone I spoke to they all advised using standard genuine Yamaha friction and steel plates as the Barnett clutches have little or no feel to them so I am going standard for now

Is yours slipping?

The feel is fine on the Barnett, I already have one just want one for my spare engine.

I did have a bit of slip a while ago but the plates were well in spec. Fitting the Barnett increases the clamping force as it's been fine for thousands of miles since with the same plates.

If the Barnett felt wrong for other they were either using the wrong springs or their pedal ratio is wrong or something like that.
