I have an MS2 on the shelf here but it's currently not working.
It's a V3 motherboard fitted with the MS2 daughterboard.
It's been a while since I fiddled with MS, but from a casual glance it looks like it has the VR circuits, twin coil drivers and a driver for a
PWM idle. It's also got an additional high power driver installed but I've not investigated what it's for. It might have been
boost control or something like that as it was destined to go on a Zetec Turbo conversion. One of the insulating pads from the power transistors is
missing (I seem to remember pinching it) but you could raid the one from the additional transistor or buy another (they're only pennies).
I took it in PX from a guy that had me build another for him. It's got an 'extra EFI' sticker on the case but I've no idea
whether it's actually one of theirs. He basically hadn't done his reading and wired it using an EDIS diagram instead of directly to the
coils and VR sensor which, obviously, didn't work. Nothing is obviously wrong - ie no visibly blackened or blown components, but it's
unresponsive when plugged into a stim. It's probably simple - these aren't exactly complicated things after all - but I've just not
got around to looking at it in any depth so I can't give any guarantees.
Just to be absolutely clear, it doesn't power up at present and will need some attention. Only buy if you have the know-how to fix it, or
know someone that has
Make me an offer on it.
