Punto 1.2 engine wanted

Grand daughter has been given a 2000 Punto 1.2 SX60 1.2 8V.

The bodywork etc. is really good, but, either the head gasket has gone or the head/block is cracked, I figure it would be best to fit a known good engine, and get her on the road to have her 1st accidents in something which has cost next to nothing....

So bit of a long shot, does anyone have a 1.2 8V Punto Engine, code 176B4.000 for sale? There's a couple on eBay, but trust folk on here more.

Definitely worth doing the head gasket first, they are cheap and it's a pretty simple job. No guarantee a s/h engine is good either.

Head gaskets are famous on these so its worth doing this first, 8 valve isn't too bad to work on

Trouble is with secondhand engines unless you've heard it run or its 'guaranteed' you never really know what your buying

Is it running at the moment enough to perform any tests on it ?
