Pinto valve springs?

Anyone got some of the single variety kicking about?

I'm rebuilding the Fiat twin cam in my Monte and hopefully it should be a bit of a screamer when done. I could get some triple valve springs that will definately be up to the job but they don't come cheap. An old trick used to be to use Pinto outer valve springs, which are presumably stronger, with the std Fiat inners to prevent valve bounce at high revs. So I'm after one to compare if possible to decide if this is true or just an 'old wifes tale'. I'd need an accurate measurement of the wire thickness, number of coils, free length and outer diameter so I can calculate the spring rate, fitted poundage and poundage at full lift. If it looks like a goer then I'll be after a set of std ones or possibly uprated.

Thanks in advance,
Nick
