Cosworth rear hubs

As per the title I'm after a pair of cosworth rear hubs.

Cheers

Is there something different between normal disc brake rear hubs and Cosworth rear hubs?

Cosworth ones have extended "ears" for the brake caliper mount - this facilitates the fitting of the larger discs used on the cosworths I believe.

OK - makes sense - more power needs better brakes!

Given the low weight of a 7 type car do you need Cosworth brakes on the back?

I used drums on my MK Indy and never had any issues. I wasn't racing or hill climbing just road driving.

Most of the brakes we use here, are for cars much heavier than our kit cars, ie Ford based discs/drums from Capri/Escort/Sierra.

Iam changing to a 7.5" LSD from a cosworth. I've bought new driveshafts and CV joints but the hub from the standard push in shfts doesn't fit. The splines are too small and the bearing carrier doesn't fit. Hence the need for cosworth hubs etc.

Cheers
Mike

It's not about the brakes, it's just about being able to use the LSD.
