I got mine from glens garage.

Linky

Have built it and its tested on the bench. However the inlet manifold (£600 from Boggs Bros or Altiss Engineering is holding me up. (8 x bike throttle bodies on my V8)

I will be using Squirt 'n Spark.
Using Honda CBR 600 38mm T-bodies and Ford Wasted spark directly fed from the MS (ie NO EDIS unit required - the EDIS-8 units are not cheap) Why add the edis unit when the MS will drive the coils directly for the cost of three extra Fet's (Transistors).

OK they need some heat sink space and a bit of extra wiring, which is very minor.

Bought the kit over a year ago, and I expect it will be dearer.
Hmm Glens garage show the basic kit at $187usd thats £117.
Beware of the VAT on importing it.
You will have to pay VaT when importing it.
They wont fudge the price for customs, or say its secondhand. So you have to pay!

Choose the Cheapest postage.
Royal mail charge £4 just to collect the Vat.
Parcelforce charge £14 or £18. So the Slowest is cheaper.
I found out the hard way on my second one that I was in a hurry for.

Now you can see why the UK kits seem more expensive! But there is not much in it.

I got the lower spec processor, not the higher spec one on the piggyback board.
Unless you actually need the additional facilities like Launch control etc. Stick with the cheaper one.
For basic setup squirt 'n spark the std one is more than sufficuent.
The later processor is another $82 usd on top.

Hope this helps

The real stinger is you pay VAT on the total item cost+import duty, i.e. you pay tax on a tax.

Just information to compare with what speedy comes up with, these are the prices for an imported kit:

$250.00 - MSII PCBv3
$192.00 - MSI PCBv3

$34.50 - UK delivery

therefore:

MSII
£156.99 + £21.66 + £26.80 = £205.45
adjusted for 5% import duty = £215

MSI
£120.60 + £21.66 + £18.10 = £160.36
adjusted for 5% import duty = £168

(all data taken from DIYautotunes ebay page, currency conversion using todays prices from xe.com, tax taken as 15%)

I have just completed mine megasquirt2 V3, supplied by Bill S. Cost was approx £265 but included the megastim and upgraded drivers for direct coil control BIP373s. This was ordered about 2 months ago, so I have no idea what the exchange rate/prices are doing at the moment.
As said by someone else, about 8 hours to assemble. There are a few transistors that have pins very close together, so I'd reccomend assembling the simulator first for a bit of practice.
Bill has been very helpful with the odd queries I've had. He does take a while to respond sometimes.

The only duty I paid was 17.5% Vat (now 15%), and a charge to the carrier for the privilege of them collecting it from me. As far as I am aware there is no "import" duty only VaT.

However, I could be wrong!
